ORGANIZED DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM OF ARTIFICIAL LIMBS
With the support of Virchow Foundation, Gurudeva Charitable Trust successfully organized an Artificial Limbs Distribution Program for economically disadvantaged and physically challenged individuals at Kothavalasa, in Vizianagaram District, on 15 May 2026.
The program was conducted with the objective of restoring mobility, independence, and dignity to persons with physical disabilities who lacked access to quality assistive devices. Through this humanitarian initiative, 136 beneficiaries received customized artificial limbs and mobility support aids, enabling them to lead more self-reliant and productive lives.
This CSR-supported initiative reflects the shared commitment of Gurudeva Charitable Trust and Virchow Foundation towards social welfare, inclusion, and empowerment of differently abled individuals. The distribution event brought together community leaders, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and local dignitaries who encouraged the beneficiaries and emphasized the importance of equal opportunities for all.
The artificial limbs were provided after proper assessment and fitting to ensure comfort, functionality, and long-term usability. Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the support, highlighting how the assistance would positively impact their daily activities, education, employment opportunities, and overall quality of life.
The program stands as a significant step toward building an inclusive society where persons with disabilities can overcome physical barriers and participate actively in community life. Gurudeva Charitable Trust and Virchow Foundation remain committed to continuing such initiatives that create meaningful and lasting social impact.
